The East Coast Park is a result of a Government Land Reclamation Project. The Land starting from Marina East to Bedok is what is known as the East Coast Park now. It was open by the Government for the people in the year 1970. The Park is not just for the Singaporeans but also for the other neighbourhood communities. Although considered to be a manmade beach, swimming is possible here. The beach is known to have been protected by breakwaters. As many people know about this park, it serves as a wonderful place for unwinding time and relaxation. There are also some local food outlets here, featuring barbecues. Visitors also have the option to go fishing here.

If you would like to explore the Park there is a separate track for cycling that runs along one side of the park. Make sure to grab your tent as overnight camping is permitted here. Some of the famous attractions here are the Gold Kist Beach Resort, Outward bound Singapore, Parkland Green, Manamana Beach Club. The East Coast Sea food centre has more than 10 restaurants under its list serving fresh sea food. The menu in these restaurants comprises of several varieties of fish, chilli crabs and black pepper crabs. The Sea Food Center was upgraded in the year 2005 and now has a futuristic and modern appeal to it. If you are looking forward to having dinner in a quiet and serene place, make sure to visit East Coast Food Center. People who come to dine here regularly state how they enjoy the sea breeze while eating.
