Barcelona is famous for Gaudi’s kooky architecture, but most of the buildings you can visit have really high entry fees. Casa Batllo was worth it, totally amazing, as is the Sagrada Familia, but there’s another option that is free. Parque Guell is an outdoor project above the city with all kinds of sculptures and structures like the mercado and two gingerbready houses that were intended to be part of the park infrastructure. I had so much fun wandering the park, photographing the city below (seriously amazing views), and people watching by the dragon/lizard sculpture.
