Bozeman, MT, United States for Hiking in Custer Gallatin National Forest

There are more than 3.1 million acres of pristine wilderness right outside Bozeman’s front door in the Custer Gallatin National Forest, which made it hard to go wrong whichever way I decided to turn. I chose the Hyalite Canyon after the staff at The LARK said it holds sway over their hearts. I hiked one of the four trails and marveled at Grotto and Arch falls, just two of the area’s 10 waterfalls, then enjoyed a picnic (and the beautiful views) on the shores of the placid Hyalite reservoir. I would definitely recommend this hike and the hotel I stayed at to anyone that visits Bozeman in the future!
