Heroes Square was one of my personal highlights of sights that I visited while in Budapest, its all amazing, but the square’s design is really great. From what I was told while walking there from a guy that was staying at our hostel was that the statues are the Seven Chieftans of the Magyars and other important national leaders. There is also a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the square. We walked straight down Andrassy to get there and then walked across the small bridge to City Park which is a whole other experience with thermal baths and museums in the park. You could spend a day in the park like we did. Between Hero Square and the park we spent all day there with no complaints.
