So I was reading up on parks in Chicago before my trip and I discovered that the author of the classic story The Wizard of Oz use to live near Lincoln Park. The city decide to honor Mr. Baum and developed the whimsical Oz Park! I loved this movie growing up and it was amazing to see these sculptures of the characters close up and so big! The park has great resting areas and trails to walk while taking in the landscape. The Tin Man was defiantly my favorite sculpture there. (Probably because I use to mimic his song and dance from the movie as a kid). Anyways the park was very nostalgic and was the perfect outing for a beautiful day in the city!
