Deliblato, Vojvodina for Scent of Locust Trees

We set of to Deliblato Sands in April, so we could enjoy the gorgeous spring atmosphere and the blossom of locust trees. The national park provides a variety of landscapes, from forests to sandy surfaces to green hillsides. First we went into the forest, that led us to the Zagajicka hills that looked like something out of a Windows 2000 default wallpaper. After this, we descended into the sandy part and passed through the fenced part of the national park, where we could see deer running around everywhere. After a long day of hiking, in the evening we went into a nearby village called Kajtasovo, where we had a meal in a restaurant called “At Sneza’s”. It had a fish pond which they prepare and serve in the restaurant. Needless to say, we picked a couple of beautiful locust tree blossoms to take home to remind us of our serene trip.
