We arrived at Devils Lake Campground early in the morning, set up our tents and headed across the street to the large volcanic rock butte/hill to hike to the top. The hike took a couple hours as some of the ground was unstable, but it was completely worth it when arriving to the top. We had a great panoramic view of the lake and beyond. It was still early in the morning so we made some coffee at the top before we left to hike down. When we hiked back down we headed back to our campsite to grab the fishing poles, aired up the float tubes and started fishing for the day, unfortunately it was mostly floating with not many catches. After floating, we made a fire, roasted some bratwursts and called it a night.
