Well I had opportunity to hike Makapu’u lighthouse trail, when my friends dragged me to. I find this trail similar to Diamond Head but fortunately less commercialized. The beauty of this trail heightened as we hike all the way up. The mesmerizing view, incredible natural sights, and alongside military bunkers with gorgeous lighthouse make the trail worth tiring for. The lighthouse is actually closed for public, but the trail is the must visit attraction of the place. Whole trail encompass two-mile round trip, and the path is well paved. Most beautiful view is at the end of the path, where you can see a long, beautifully stretch Molokai Channel, this ocean separated Oahu from islands of Molokai. This beautiful view is insanely breathtaking and is a perfect postcard scene. I find this point the most serene and tranquil place, specially for the early risers, as it gives a perfect sunrise view up above the Pacific ocean. The entire stretch display show-stopping, gorgeous, breathtaking views of the coast, and the deep blue, dreamy sea seems to be stretched all over the horizon.
Another interesting thing to notice here is the crystal clear water, that has wondrously beautiful gigantic beach creatures, yes you’ve guessed it right!! Whales… The humpback whales can be spotted in waters from month of December trough May.
All in all it was a great trip, and I enjoyed a lot with my friends.
