Boise’s Hotel 43 (http://www.hotel43.com) is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel with ultra chic décor and a youthful vibe. For weekenders, the location can’t be beat for proximity to downtown dining and entertainment. For the business crowd, the hotel is mere steps away from the Boise Convention Center. Plus, Hotel 43 is less than five miles from the airport and the hotel provides guests with a complimentary shuttle.
Downtown Boise is a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with plenty of culture and city highlights to explore. Boise Art Museum and Boise State University are near Hotel 43, and the Idaho State Capitol Building is just a few short blocks away. The stroll to the Capitol will allow you to take advantage of the many area coffee shops, including Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters (http://hammercoffee.com) and Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters (http://www.dawsontaylor.com). Also nearby is Taters (http://idahotaters.com), a cute boutique with souvenirs and Idaho-made products including a great selection of huckleberry jams (Idaho’s state fruit!) and Tater Bars—handcrafted soaps of potato, pearberry, or huckleberry.
For a full day of culture, Hotel 43 offers a complimentary Arts Passport, which includes free admission to the Boise Art Museum and discounted entry to performances. While staying at Hotel 43, guests will notice an emphasis on art and culture. Much of the art on display pays tribute to the city’s vibrant culture and Boise’s location on the 43rd parallel.
Hotel 43 provides an exceptional atmosphere for vacationers and business travelers alike, and this is a luxurious venue to spend the night while exploring area attractions. Combining the necessities of business with the perks of pleasure, Hotel 43 has an inviting lobby where Starbucks coffee is served at Metro Café. An on-site parking garage provides covered access to the hotel, and complimentary valet service ensures your car is ready when you are.
My suite provided a luxurious retreat with a side of business. There was an extra large desk and comfortable chair to get in a few hours on the free WiFi, but the luxurious living room furniture kept me from doing too much work. Plus, my room had a deep jetted tub perfect for two, which is a lovely addition for romantic getaways.
Other Hotel 43 amenities include a fitness center, 24-hour business center, in-room fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. BeeKind bath amenities (Gilchrist & Soames) included shampoo, conditioner, and soap that were luxurious and environmentally-friendly. For convenience and fresh flavors, Chandlers Steakhouse is on location, offering classic steakhouse entrees and flown-in-overnight seafood fresh from the ocean. To top off a night of fine dining, Chandlers offers a great selection of handcrafted cocktails.
My stay at Hotel 43 provided a luxurious retreat for a visit to the capitol city. I enjoyed contemporary charms mixed with a business casual vibe and the location was fabulous for exploring downtown. Hotel 43 is a definite recommendation for being at the center of it all in Boise.
