Safari Details

There are two types of safaris available in the park. One is the jeep, which can accommodate up to 6 people and the second is the canter, which can hold 20 seats. Safaris are available 3.5 hours in the morning and 3.5 hours in the evening. The starting and ending time of safari changes with season. The park is closed from July to September. Thus, safari is not available during this time. Safari is usually restricted within zone one and zone five as, this is the region with high chance of spotting tiger.

Zone one: spotting tigers with cubs is common in this zone

Zone two: this is the region with many water holes. Thus, spotting animals like tiger, leopard and others with young ones is common.

Zone three: this region has many high points, which makes easier to spot a large area from specific regions.

Zone four: You can spot a few tigers and a few rare herbivorous in this zone

Zone five: Spotting animals is quite hard in this region.

Zone six: easily spot birds, gazelle and a few tigers.

Zone seven and eight: Big cats are common in this region

Zone nine – sloth bears, aquatic birds, caracals and tigers are spotted in this region.

Zone ten – this is the region for birdwatching. Tigers are quite rare in this region.

The safari takes you through the zones where you can spot numerous animals, based on the season. The exact location of animals cannot be predicted and thus, there is a quite a fat chance that you might end up completing the safari without spotting any large animals.
