I went to LA for my friend Leila’s wedding, but I arrived a week early so I could help her and the maid of honor (her sister) get ready for the big day. Most of our time was spent putting finishing touches on flowers, playlists, and seating arrangements, but we did find time to have a little fun.
A couple of days before the wedding, we decided to have a girls’ day out. Wedding planning is really stressful, and Leila hadn’t stopped for months. She’s also the mother of a three year old, so, basically she’s superwoman.
We had early pedicures at Luxe Nail Salon, which is near her house. Then we headed downtown for coffee at Verve (where we sighted some fashion blogger that she loves – bonus points!), and mimosas at nearly every purveyor in DTLA. We did some shopping, and finished the day with dinner at one of Leila’s favorite restaurants, The Stocking Frame.
Luxe Nails does really great nail art. The decor at Verve is awesome – so many plants!
