I started the day at Sky Hotel, knowing I wanted to find the best view of the skyline of LA and some stargazing but not too far from the city as I would be taking public transportation or Uber to the location. I asked around and the hotel gave me a great suggestion of the Griffith Observatory, it sits on the south face of Mount Hollywood and overlooks the Los Angeles basin. When I got there I realized you can see the most impressive views of LA’s sprawling city skyline and right past to the Pacific Ocean. After seeing the views I paid about $5 to see the planetarium show that happens every 60-90 minutes. The Griffith Observatory closes at 10PM at night. Tuesday through Friday. 10AM to 10PM on the weekends, this would be a great place to take a date on my next visit to Los Angeles. I cant wait to go back.
