Venice Beach is a strange place. One filled with street performers, homeless vagrants, body builders at Muscle Beach, skateboarders, and more. It’s a one of a kind place and I bring out of town visitors here for some solid people watching and to maybe score a “medical” card. The beach seems super sketchy. I’ve heard of people stepping on hypodermic needles out in the sand, but the worst I’ve had was stepping in some seagull poop. There’s plenty of places to pick up souvenirs along with a bunch of vendors out on the drag. Mao’s Kitchen is solid for Asian food, and if you’re in the area, be sure to see the canals in the area.
