MALAYSIA for Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru by bus

It is the most popular city in the multi cultural city of Malaysia with skycrapers on one side and shopping malls on the other. This city truly has its own night life. Situated in the state of Selangor it is truly an enclaved city. The city is famous not just for its night life but also its delicious street food which is basically a mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes. If you explore and dwell further you will also come across Thai and Arabian food outlets. One thing that I figured was, the spices  and the ingredients used in the dishes are completely next level. It is by 10:00 pm that the night life of the city comes into action.

The city is completely different from other Asian countries when it comes to heading out and shopping. There are quite a few talented DJ’s that perform in the night clubs with alcohol literally flowing through the taps.  The scene continues till wee hours in the morning and that is exactly when the city is back to life. Essentially, the city never goes to sleep. Malls like Pavilion and Suria KLCC are home not to just local brands but international brands as well. The locals here are quite welcoming and are ready to help tourists.

I was on a tour in Malaysia and my original plan was to visit different cities in this beautiful country.  I wanted to make the best of my stay here, shop till I drop but still spend only a decent sum of money. Travelling from city to city by air would literally leave me with no money in hands for shopping. Hence, I figured out that the best possible option that is not only affordable but also convenient,  would be to travel by Bus. After researching online, I came across this website  https://www.redbus.my which seemed to be quite popular amongst the Malaysians. As per the website there were about 5 Operators plying on the route between the two cities. Causeway Link, Pacific Express, Trans Nasional, 5 Star Tours and Mayang Sari Express were the Operators who plyed buses regularly between the two cities. Between since I had travelled with Pacific Express in the past and was quite happy with the experience, I went ahead and booked tickets with this Operator. Pacific Express is the only Operator having more than 14 buses plying in one single day between the two cities. The first bus plies at 11:15 am in the morning and the last one at 8:30 pm in the evening. This leaves you with ample of options to choose your time as per your convenience. The total duration of the journey is about 4 and a half hours but I would recommend you to book tickets for a bus that leaves in the afternoon, as this is the time that you will come across less traffic than while you book a bus in the morning and in the evening when there is heavy traffic.
