My brother had to visit Manchester for a business trip, and the historical buildings of Manchester have always fascinated me. So, I grabbed the opportunity and get along with him. After completion of his work, we decided to take a tour of the mesmerizing old Manchester city. Our first destination was Manchester city’s top tourist attraction “Museum of Science and Industry”. We get there by taking green Metroshuttle bus number 2, which stopped right in front of the museum entrance.
There are loads and loads of fun activities to do in the museum for all ages. I would suggest to go through the museum’s schedule prior to booking, thus to enjoy your interest related activities. The museum exhibits historical events and things in such fun and exciting manner that you love to be there. Most of the events are free. I loved the one called Explosion: A Blast from the Past, and Meet Baby. Meet Baby is a small scale experimental machine, this is a first computer and they had made replicas of it. Volunteers run these replicas and it is so exciting to see that how much revolution has come to the computers. There are many other science and technology related fun experimentation and activities such as Engine demonstration (how engine work and its role in industrial revolution), Textile Gallery, Fly 360 (this is something THRILL, and EXCITING, a 360 degree interactive flight of your own jet), Manchester Mills Demonstration, and many many more.
I enjoyed my day out a lot at the museum. Might not all of you would agree but this museum is so much fun, exciting, thrilling and yes gives a whole lot of learning experience. I would love to go there again, as because of time constrains I wasn’t able to fulfill my appetite with all the fun activities.
