I started off with a good breakfast at a deli/bodega around the corner from Excelsior Hotel. You can find a deli similar on just about every corner in NYC. I took a walk down the block through the neighborhood around central park. I continued my walk to see the Guggenheim, the Met, and some of the other amazing buildings right around the area. I had no idea going into Central Park how large it was or how many things there is to do inside. I just decided to walk until I could walk no more. Central Park is part-park, part-museum, and part-concert hall which means the park swallows central Manhattan. You can do everything here, I walked past Alice in Wonderland which is an 11 foot tall statue that sits on top of a magic mushroom! I continued to walk by the Bethesda Fountain, and during the nice days you can rent a boat from Loeb Boathouse, I opted out of this option and continued on my journey to the Strawberry fields, it is located across the street from where John Lennon was shot. I grabbed a little bite to eat from a delicious little cart and then I sat and admired the park fro awhile before I continued on to the rest of my evening.
