Was having coffee with a friend and we sat down at these tables by an interesting concrete wall by itself. I didn’t know it at the time but I as curious to why they would allow a wall with graffiti on it right there in the center of the UN garden. Well turns out these are pieces of the famous Berlin Wall that separated East and West Berlin from 1961-1989. Crazy what you stumble on in New York City!
Here is the address to the gardens. Always a very peaceful place to spend the day outside.
