“Stunning” is the word that truly describe the mesmerizing and awe inspiring natural beauty of this place in UK. Startling waterfalls and panoramic view of mountains gives the most diverse scenery of the country. Most distinctive features of this place includes the longest lake of the country, Lake Windermere, and has England’s highest Mountain, Scafell Pike.
If you really want to enjoy your trip to the Lake district, you must properly plan it beforehand, Otherwise it’s just a waste of time wondering here and there. A number of different activities are offered from the administration, which includes hiking, guided tours, water sports, cycling, etc. I personally love to breath in the natural environment and feel the natural beauty while walking, or else just look into beautiful refreshing lakes and waterfalls. Being the first timer, I went for the guided walk. It was real fun and easy as I didn’t have worry at all about navigation and learnt a lot about different lakes and whole from the local. We stroll through the scenic and magnificent landscape, beautiful weather and cool breeze were like icing on the cake.
Other than that, many people suffer from parking issues or unsafe driveways, as they come without any guidelines. Because some areas are actually very steep, narrow and difficult to cross. And those who are used to driving in smooth lanes only, find it hard to get out from their comfort zone.
Despite all this, I would really recommend this place as pre-planned tour, thus to minimize driving, safe place for parking, no GPS issues, long hikes and walks, and just be there and enjoy the breathtaking views without any worries as much as possible.
I’d love to go there again with my friends sometime.
