Just in time for Spring Break, The Grove Resort & Spa Orlando is opening the much-anticipated Surfari Waterpark. Orlando is unique in that people can visit nearly any week of the year, but the city explodes in popularity during spring break season. We understand the draw; sunshine, theme parks, warm weather, and resort fun!
Get Excited about Surfari
Ever since The Grove opened in March of 2017, it’s been incrementally rolling out new amenities. Surfari is the final piece of the extensive lineup of activities available at the all-suite residential-style resort. In honor of spring break season being JUST around the corner, let’s take a closer look at all the fun to be had at Surfari.
Learn to Surf, Without Being in The Ocean
One of the most unique attractions at Surfari is the FlowRider. Sound intriguing? FlowRider is a dual surf simulator. Essentially, it’s an artificial wave-making machine, so anyone who wants to practice or feel what it’s like to surf, can.
Water Full on Vacation Mode in a Private Cabana
Picture yourself, in a tropical-inspired pool cabana, drink in hand, snacks at the ready, lounging, reading, or chatting with your friends and family. Welcome to The Grove’s private cabanas. The cabanas offer views of the lazy river and oversized pool, are available to rent for the day.
Float Along The Lazy River
Of all water park features, the lazy river is a timeless classic. Even the most energetic kids eventually need a rest and find themselves enjoying the lazy river. Surfari’s lazy river is slow paced, features cascading waterfalls, water cannons, and overhead bridges. Not a terrible way to spend the day, eh?
When in Doubt, Water-Slide It Out
Water slides are also a timeless water park feature, and bring joy to so many. We’ve also found, that for those having a more challenging time fully relaxing on vacation, a few runs down the water slides helps to clear the mind and excite the spirit! Surfari has two water slides, one that is enclosed for a more adrenaline-focused experience, and one that is open so sliders can enjoy the sunshine.
Let The Kids Run Wild in The Jungle Pool
Water parks are a kid’s dream-come-true, and that will prove to be true as soon as kids lay eyes on the two-story jungle adventure pool awaiting at Surfari. This one water park feature, alone, will provide endless hours of excitement for the little ones.
Spring breakers, get ready. Surfari has its grand opening this March, and if you intend to visit for Spring Break, you may well be among the first ever to enjoy it. The Grove Resort & Spa has been working diligently to bring Surfari to fruition, and we can’t wait for you all to experience it.
It’s also worth noting, The Grove is considered a Disney World-area resort, due to its close proximity to the theme park. Not only does The Grove have ample entertainment on-site, but you can also plan a day or two at the iconic Walt Disney World, without going very far.
