It’s always a great time to visit Las Vegas, but with the new season upon us you may be itching for a fabulous getaway to extend that summer feeling just a little bit longer. On a recent trip to LV, I stayed and played in the heart of The Strip, experiencing the newly renovated rooms at Planet Hollywood.
Planet Hollywood has a head to toe new look and their rooms are spacious and contemporary, with every imaginable amenity for ensuring a comfortable stay. My guest room, an Ultra Hip King, had an incredible view of The Strip and all its iconic architecture. This was great for viewing action on the street below day and night. And whether you’re in Vegas for a recharging retreat or a weekend of adventure, Planet Hollywood has you covered. From the relaxing soaker tub and separate shower in-suite, to an expansive pool deck featuring the FlowRider Wave-in-a-Box Double, the on-site amenities and attractions will impress.
There are plenty of restaurants at Planet Hollywood, including YOLÖS Mexican Grill and Gordon Ramsay Burger. At Gordon Ramsay Burger I tried amazing Truffle Parmesan Fries, which are perfect for sharing, along with a refreshing Lobster and Shrimp Burger. Imagine a pan-seared lobster and rock shrimp patty with pickled veggies, herb aïoli, and frisee lettuce. Perfection! If you’re more of a carnivore, order a Hell’s Kitchen Burger for some extra kick.
For grab-and-go convenience, you’ll find a 24-hour Starbucks on the main floor of the PH casino, as well as Pink’s Hot Dogs alongside the Las Vegas Boulevard entrance. If Vegas buffets are your go-to dining preference, pick up a Buffet of Buffets pass for Caesars properties for 24 hours of unlimited dining at Spice Market (Planet Hollywood), Le Village Buffet (Paris), Bacchanal Buffet (Caesars), and other Caesars buffets. Craving something upscale? Head next door to Paris Las Vegas Casino for Gordon Ramsay Steak, celebrating its fifth year. Let the knowledgeable staff explain the variety of cuts to you to determine your preference. I tried a rib cap for the first time and now I understand why that’s the go-to for butchers, as it was an incredibly juicy, flavorful cut. Or, perhaps you’re set on trying Ramsay’s famous Beef Wellington. Give it a go, as you won’t be disappointed. Sides I highly recommend include fingerling potatoes, Brussel spouts, and mac & cheese. Leave room for the decadent Sticky Toffee Pudding! Ramsay does this like no other.
Nightlife & Entertainment
What’s a trip to Vegas without a little entertainment? While I was a guest at Planet Hollywood, it was super convenient for me to take advantage of the on-site Axis Theater. I saw Jennifer Lopez—All I Have—which has won awards for best production. If you’re heart is set on Britney Spears, grab your tickets soon as her final shows wrap up this December. Lionel Richie’s All The Hits has been added to the concert calendar offering fourteen performances Nov 2017 through March 2018. There are a number of other great nightlife venues on-site at Planet Hollywood, including DJs at Heart Bar, so check the PH calendar of events for upcoming features.
After you’ve wined and dined and danced the night away, maybe it’s time for a little R&R. Consider some spa time at Mandara or set up tee time at Rio Secco and Cascata Golf. Need retail therapy? Explore Miracle Mile Shops for the latest fashions, Vegas souvenirs, and so much more. Planet Hollywood has a host of to-dos all within easy access from your luxurious accoms, so you’ll have plenty to enjoy whether you’re indulging in a quick getaway or have a few days extra to recharge.
