Breakout is a live escape venue located in the heart of Prague. We heard about escape games in the past but none of us have had the chance to experience this new trend.
Upon our arrival in Prague a very nice lady, who happened to be one of the Alternative Prague tour guides, told us about one of her friends that owned an escape room venue. She told us she would call him to see if he had room for us later that day. She raved about Breakout so we had to give it a try. I was particularly interested in visiting because the specific room we would experience leaned heavily on Prague’s own soviet history.
If you don’t already know about escape rooms, a team of people will typically have a set amount of time to find clues and dove puzzles/riddles that eventually lead to their escape. I can’t give much detail about the game we experienced but I will say some clues are very simple to solve and some are very complex.
Our team had a blast! It was really fun to team up to solve puzzles. Like I said, this was my first time at an escape room and I was very surprised by the depth of games concept. I really enjoyed solving little puzzles and realizing how obvious they were as well as spending a good amount of time on the complex ones. The decor, story line & staff truly make Breakout an amazing place to visit. We were greeted by Tomas who sat us down and explained how the game would work. He also offered us complementary drinks. Tomas’ hospitality really made our team feel welcome. If you find yourself with a free night in Prague and want to have some fun outside of your normal routine, make some time to check out Breakout.
