Queenstown, New Zealand for Mountain Biking

Queenstown has a ton to do but we had to do at least one day of mountain biking. From the town center, we rented bikes for about $40 us a day and then rode 3-4 miles along the lake past Ben Lomond toward Closeburn. We turned in on Moke Lake road and started going UP for about 3 miles — but then flattened and we had a relatively flat, non technical ride to the Lake (with some interesting little traverse bridges).

Moke lake is super pretty. Going down — a little more technical! We both had a few wipe outs but it was all worth it when we went to Monty’s for a beer after.
