San Francisco for Pastries at Tartine Bakery

I was in San Francisco for business recently and decided to try out the very famous Tartine bakery with some coworkers since it was near our airbnb in the Mission. We went on a weekday around 9, expecting lines, but walked right in and ordered. While my almond fruit tart was very tasty, I’m not sure it would have been worth it if we had had to wait any longer than 5-10 minutes. The pastries were good, but in a city like San Francisco there are many excellent bakeries and this one didn’t stand out from the pack as much as I had hoped. Well worth dropping in when it’s not busy though – but I wouldn’t bother on a weekend morning!
