A fan of Asian food? Seattle is the place to loosen your belt and settle in for a feast. Start things off with dim sum in the International District – take as many buddies as you can muster and a healthy appetite and let the parade of carts bring you a feast. Jade Garden and Harbor City are the most popular dim sum places, but skip the wait and the rushed atmosphere and check out Purple Dot Cafe for excellent food with a much more laid back vibe (don’t miss the shrimp and chive dumplings). For an on-the-go meal, grab a barbecue humbow from Mee Sum Pastry in Pike Place Market. You’ll need the sustenance to push your way to the front of the flying fish stand or hold out in line for at Piroshky Piroshky. For dinner, head to Din Tai Fung in University Village for Taiwanese-style soup dumplings. The wait can be long, but the dumplings are deservedly famous.
