This is a great annual festival, and my favourite way to kick off the autumn season, since it always takes place over Labour Day weekend. The lineups are always stellar, the food fantastic (Seattle has a lot of food trucks that congregate here, PLUS the festival is in Seattle Center, where there are plenty of eateries around), and if nothing else, it’s great for people watching. I attended with a buddy of mine who happened to know some guys in one of the bands, so we were treated to an artist bracelet that let us roam in and out of VIP sections, around the back stage areas, etc. So cool to get sort of an insider’s view of everything. We were there all day and ended with an evening performance by Ellie Goulding on the main stage. Can’t wait for next year!
If you drive, park somewhere around the First Hill/Capitol Hill area or even the University District and Uber into Seattle Center. Trying to find parking is mad during the festival.
