Pho is all the rage in Seattle. You can’t toss a rock without hitting a Vietnamese restaurant. But finding really solid, unique pho made with quality ingredients at a reasonable price? That’s a little tougher. A couple of weeks ago, I was visiting the Ballard farmer’s market when I noticed something up the street that I hadn’t seen before – this weird little purple building named ‘the Monkey Bridge.’ I looked it up, and to my amazement, found that it was a pho restaurant I hadn’t heard of; and a well-loved one at that! I had some time to kill before meeting friends for happy hour, so I stopped in to see what the place was all about. I’m stoked I did, because I have a new go-to in my neighborhood.
They have a ton of stuff to choose from – sandwiches, noodles, rice dishes, salads, soups, plus beer and wine. I had the Prawn Pho and a Hale’s Mongoose IPA – perfect!
