Some girl friends and I were tooling about downtown before a Seahawks game, and we all decided we needed to have something to eat beforehand. As anyone would probably tell you, Seattle is not the driest city in the middle of November, so we wanted something to warm our bones before sitting out in the cold for three hours. A quick internet search led us to Pho Viet Anh – a Vietnamese restaurant in Lower Queen Anne. Apparently we weren’t the only ones with that idea, because it was pretty packed. Still, we were seated quickly and we all ordered some version of the well-loved Vietnamese noodle soup. The restaurant is pretty small, and all of the colours are very warm and inviting, so the vibes were perfect for that afternoon.
The staff was friendly and the food was exactly what we needed – speedy and warm. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the bowls were filled nearly to the brim with delectable broth and veggies, and we were even able to order some wine.
