Seattle, WA for Sky View Observatory

Seattle, United States
Just a gal, working at a job, helping raise a family with a wonderful husband who likes to travel too!

This hidden Seattle gem is so amazing. I happen to work in the building which allows me to go up any time but so many people don’t know there’s an observatory in Columbia Center. Located on the 73rd of 76 floors you need to take 2 elevators to get there. Price of admission is worth every penny when you enter on to the west side of the building and look out to the Olympics and see the ferries and surrounding islands. Each vantage point in the observatory has information that assist with locating mountains, iconic buildings or stadiums and bridges. The SVO café is a great way for weary travelers to enjoy the view with a refreshment and snack, take a break and relax. The Sky View Observatory should be the first stop when you arrive to town so you can get your bearings and locate all of the awesome adventures you’re going to take during your visit. http://www.skyviewobservatory.com is the website to buy tickets and get other information.

Insider Tip

Peak times to plan around are lunchtime and 5-7pm. It’s open 7 days a week in the summertime 8am-11pm.
