Dongdaemum is a vibrant area with endless shopping opportunities. I especially liked going to Lotte Fitin. I have bought backpacks and purses here before. It offers foreign currency exchange on the ground floor, UPS international shipping and tax refund on the eighth floor. On the last night of my 10-day stay in Seoul, I decided to go for cosmetics shopping. The entire 6th floor is dedicated as the beauty floor. Brands such as Missha, Etude House, HolikaHolika, The Saem, Tony Moly, Nature Republic and Olive Young are all represented. My husband went for his mask and razor picks at Olive Young while I picked up basketful of Etude House hand creams and BB cushion. After we were done shopping, we went to Hoa Bin, a Vietnamese restaurant, for dinner on the eighth floor. We ordered beef fried rice and shrimp fried rice noodles. Service was swift and price still affordable. Dongdaemum Design Plaza, designed by famous Zaga Hadid and Samoo, is just across the street from Lotte Fitin. The futuristic design looks like a spaceship from afar. We had to walk off our dinner and took a stroll around the area. A part of the Seoul fortress is on display. The sea of LED roses seemed to be very popular with couples. I could continue my shopping spree had I wanted to but opted to go back to the hotel to pack. Till next time.
Dongdaemum shops operate into wee hours. Take a nap in the afternoon before doing any midnight shopping.
