In a city where there is far too much to do and not enough to time do it in unless you live there, the Fotografiska gallery was at the top of my list. I don’t speak any Swedish at all because I am a normal American that learned to speak Spanish considering our proximity to cultures that also speak it but I also had the fortune of having an old exchange student to show me around. So when I tell you that I have no idea how we go here, I mean it. Upon arrival I was pretty giddy because photography is a passion of mine and I wanted to hurry to the top floor to see the view I had read so much about. It was awesome. The photos were spectacular and I was finally impressed with someone’s ability to curate a group of exhibits where the transition between each was seamless. There was a strong emphasis on black and white photography, which I loved and even my friend was excited to be there because he had never set foot in the place either. So if it impressed a local it will definitely impress you.
