I stayed at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp the first time I ever visited Costa Rica because it was the only place I could find that provided a place to stay as well as local tour guides that would take you to all the great surf spots in the area. It’s not just for the experienced surfer either because they offer package deals for all levels of experience. So while I was waking up with the sun every morning to jump in a van or hop on a boat to remote locations you only see in surf publications, my friends were sleeping in and getting great instructions right out the back of the place. It is a hotel, restaurant, bar and surf camp all in one. There is a great beach break spot located about 200 yard from the front entrance because the place opens up to Playa Tamarindo with an open walkway allowing beach vendors to walk up to the bar to offer local goods to everyone. All-in-all the place is amazing and if you go then definitely order the nachos and Imperial. Pura Vida.
