Tokyo, Japan for Tsukiji Market Tuna Auction

I stayed at a beautiful and cozy apartment that the owners call “Sakura” because of the 120 year old tree right outside the balcony across the small street. During cherry blossom season it fills the room with an amazing pink glow. I loved the apartment, this is why it was terribly hard to wake up to go to the market by 5AM to catch the start of the auction. I was a little late but that is ok, you have to be there at 3:30AM to make it in time for the tour, I knew I was going to be on my own since there was no chance of waking up that early. As I walked into Tsukiji Market, I walked into the world largest tuna auction and fish market. This is definitely the most impressive fish market that I have been to in all of my travels and a Tokyo must see! After watching some of the auction, I walked out to the outer market and ate some sushi… I wonder where the tuna for the tuna rolls came from…

It was a great experience, I will probably do this again on my next trip to Tokyo
