Toronto, Canada for Distillery District

This was a very misleading name for me. As I headed over to what I was imagining to be a collection of micro-distilleries was actually a place with numerous shops, cafes and eateries. It is named named the Distillery District because it is where the former Gooderham and Worts Distillery once was and is the largest collection of Victorian-era industrial architecture in North America. I was still able to get my lips around a couple great Canadian whiskeys and there were quite a few cool artisan shops where I spent too much time staring at little useless trinkets to potentially buy. It’s funny because the old distillery had been open until 1990 and it only 13 year for them to renovate and re purpose it to the miniature metropolis it is today. After eating some amazing food from the Beer Hall at Mill Street Brew Pub and drinking a healthy amount of brown liquor, it was time for a nap. This place was great and I suggest you check it out if you’re ever in Toronto.
