Valletta, Malta for National Museum of Fine Arts

National Museum of Fine Arts, Malta is a small museum or seems an Art gallery with some beautiful pieces on display. Museum is small yet very interesting, an hour will give a good overview of full place. Museum is studded with various religious paintings by Mattia Preti. “Malta Turner” collection is surprisingly good. Other than that there are watercolor paintings by Edward Lear, and an amazingly portrayed view of Valetta by Turner. I was fascinated to see some beautiful paintings by David Roberts. There are several stunning collections but the highlight for me was the portrait of de Caro St. Francis Xavier, that I enjoyed seeing the most.
Other than Art, museum is a perfect example of great architectural design. I’ve spent almost an hour there, I would recommend everyone to visit this place on your tour to Malta as it really highlight architectural beauty and Art love of Malta.
