After dropping off my backpack at the youth hostel located across the street and maneuvering through a mixture of billionaires, bums and bike riders, I arrived at Menotti’s in dire need for a proper cup of coffee. The line was long but it moved quickly as the servers moved people from ordering to paying in a timely manner as a Curtis Mayfield vinyl serenaded me in the background. Their coffee is made from San Francisco’s Four Barrel and each up is hand poured and delivered with an “Instagram-able” presentation. If you’re not a coffee snob and just need something to get you up and get you moving, then order their cold-brew. I needed a quick pick me up one evening after a day of surfing in the sun and the cold brew did the trick. I will be returning here any time I find myself back in West Los Angeles. Also, ask them about their secret menu.
