Gravelly Point Park is right outside of Reagan National Airport. I was staying at the Hotel Palomar for a business trip. I wanted something to do and heard about this so I drove out with my rental car. I thought, regardless this will be a pretty cool sight to see. Watching planes come in and land. Seeing how large they actually are puts it all into perspective. But, after getting there I was shocked as to actually how intense it is. The earth rumbles and shakes. The roaring engines of the jetliners goes away slightly as the shoot closely overhead while they head straight to the runway. You can take a taxi from the airport or drive straight up like did. The taxi is the safest route.
